Not to be confused with MY gym, because.. let’s be real, I don’t have one. After being put on the waitlist in SEPTEMBER, we finally got the call that there was an opening in one of the classes that Faith could join. We were so excited to take her on her first day. Luckily it wasn’t raining, in fact it was clear and sunny, but it was still incredibly cold. We were the first ones to arrive, and once we walked in, she was already asking and pointing to be put in the gym.
Once the class started however, she was a little apprehensive, and went solo towards the cushy staircase while she observed the rest of the kids on the floor. Her energy was a bit low that day, (it happens when you wake up at FIVE AM). But she pushed through. She was a little scared when we all sat in a circle to do introductions, sing, and do warm up exercises. She was not shy trying to steal bouncy balls from smaller kids though, much to my dismay. I was mostly observing her to see how she would be around other kids, especially with the arrival of her brother coming up soon. She was a mixture of observe and play, but generally she preferred to play where it was less crowded (she may have gotten that from me..). She had so much fun at the end when they had the bubble machine going and the beach balls bouncing as we sat in a tight circle. She also loved the swing, that’s one of her favorite things at the park. We thought she might pass out after class was over, but we were hungry and headed over to Black Bear Diner for breakfast. Once she ate (mostly eggs and part of my waffle), she was content and finally fell asleep. It was a beautiful day outside and since we’ve been cooped up because of the recent rain, we decided to make the most of it till we all got too tired and headed home.
