Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in mommyhood, adulthood, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Sean Pierre Photography

A couple months ago, I received a message from my friend Sean, who is an avid UFC fan and an amateur-professional photographer (according to his instagram profile). He told me he was building his portfolio so that he could be a full-time photographer, and while I was a little hesitant at first, I couldn't say no. I love helping out friends pursuing their dream careers, whether it be photography, fashion, jewelry making, blogging, etc. I warned him that I had only been photographed by Tina before, and she was really good dealing with my awkwardness and camera-shy-ness. After her repeated reminders to watch America's Next Top Model, it came to no surprise that Sean also gave me tips on how to prep for the shoot. I researched Vogue and Cosmo covers, had to practice in front of the mirror, had to be photographed (couldn't do that, felt awkward having Irwin do that for me), and really just focus on facial expressions. So the day finally came, and I felt as prepared as I could be.

Went over to the apartment he shared with his lovely girlfriend Pam (who is equally as ambitious as Sean), and I got to meet their too-cute-for-words dog, Jubilee. It was so easy working with the two of them (Pam did hair, makeup, and styling), and they really helped me feel comfortable in front of the camera. Granted it did help that they were giving me direction on poses, but they made me feel comfortable and the overall process was enjoyable. By the end of it, I was actually exhausted. I don't know how real models do it, but now I understand why they get paid the big bucks. Here are some behind-the-scenes pics and a preview of one of the shots. Totally can't wait to see Sean's finished portfolio!
